Employment
Specialised attention in individual and collective matters.
What this area covers
Employment law governs the relationship between employer and worker, both individually — hiring, conditions, termination, social security — and collectively: unions, collective agreements and bargaining. The labour reform moved disputes to Judiciary courts and added a mandatory prior conciliation stage.
What clients usually need
Companies usually discover their employment problems late, once they are claims: badly drafted contracts, non-existent internal rules, records that do not evidence what they were meant to. What they need is an audit before the claim. Workers, for their part, need to know what they are owed and within what period, because deadlines here are short and do not reopen.
